How I Batch Painted 3 Warhammer Poxwalkers Together — video thumbnail

She painted three Poxwalkers at the same time instead of one, giving herself roughly 20 minutes per section so she wouldn't obsess over a single model, and it took about 6 hours total for all three (roughly 2 hours per mini).

What do you need?

heavy skin tone
purple wash
rosy flesh
khaki
nargo green
narco green wash
dark sea blue
gray blue
bright bronze

How did she do it?

Basecoat the skinShe started with the skin using heavy skin tone, keeping the paint thin so some of the original color could still show through underneath.
Wash the bruised areasShe made a purple wash and put it all around the bruised and irritated areas.
Bring back brightness and highlightsShe brought brightness back with rosy flesh and added a few small highlights to the face.
Paint the wounds/diseaseShe mixed khaki with nargo green and worked it around the wounds to make them look irritated and itchy, then used a narco green wash all around the gross bits coming out of them.
Highlight every bumpSince it still didn't look disgusting enough, she went over every single spot on the bodies with nargo green to add more highlights.
Basecoat the hornsShe based the first horn black and felt good about it, then realized there were about 16 more horns to do.
Attempt highlighting the hornsShe tried dark sea blue for the highlights but felt it didn't work since they basically looked black, so she tried edge highlighting instead, which came out badly with visible mistakes she didn't have time to fix.
Paint and highlight the pantsShe painted the pants black and tried highlighting with a gray blue, making what she felt was the same edge-highlighting mistake as the horns, and decided against fixing it and moved on.
Paint and weather the weaponsShe used a bright bronze on the weapons, gave it a wash to dirty it down, then dry brushed brightness back in, and in the process noticed she'd completely missed part of the trousers around the belly.
